ADOPT-A-POTThe Beautification Committee of the Corn Hill Neighborhood Association invites you to participate in one of our most successful beautification efforts – the 2019 Adopt-A-Pot flower project.

For the past 8 years, neighbors have volunteered to care for flower-pots placed near their residences. These flower pots, which are located in our pocket parks and on the corners of our small neighborhood, highlight the beauty of, and the pride that we all take in, our unique urban community.

In late May, the Beautification Committee will plant and fertilize about 2 dozen large flowerpots. We will place them in locations that have the greatest visual impact and as close as possible to their adoptive parents. All we ask of you, is that you keep your adopted pot watered throughout the summer and early fall so that the flowers grow and thrive. If your pot needs to be moved for the festival, the Committee will take care of that. We only require your green thumb talents!

This is not a huge time commitment, yet it is a way to volunteer in our remarkable neighborhood. If you are interested in participating, you can contact us through the Beautification Committee email at [email protected]. We’ll be sure to assign you a flower pot to nourish! Just leave your name, address, and contact information – preferably an email address – and one of the Committee members will get back to you.

Thank you to all of our past flowerpot-parents for making this such a successful project! Remember though that if you would like to continue participation in this beautification effort, you do still need to notify us. Our flowers and flowerpots, like our community art and friendly people, are symbols of our welcoming neighborhood. We hope you decide to take part!
