Corn Hill Arts Festival Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in volunteering, there are several opportunities to join the Festival Management Team.


Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee

This committee is looking for barricade, roving, and security booth volunteers to ensure that all CHAF visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. This team works hand-in-hand with the Rochester Police Department and other CHAF volunteers to monitor the festival for safety and security concerns. Available shifts are 2 to 4 hours. Sanitation Committee Chair

This role is responsible for soliciting and contracting with refuse removal and bathroom (a.k.a. “porta-potties”) vendors for the festival. In addition to contracting; placement, volunteer coordination, and onsite availability for setup and problem resolution is required. The current committee chair would like to train a qualified candidate for the 2023 festival and transition the role of committee chair in 2024. A commitment of 2-3 years in this role is required.

Food Committee Chair

This important role is responsible for soliciting and contracting with food vendors for the festival. Food vendor placement and addressing related needs (electric, ice, etc.) is also part of this role. The current committee chair would like to train a qualified candidate for the 2023 festival and transition the role of committee chair in 2024. The role requires a time commitment prior to and during the two days of the festival. A commitment of 2-3 years in this role is required.

Festival Assistant Chair

Robin Plummer will be moving into the role of Festival Chair for the 2024 Festival. She is looking for anyone interested in serving as co-chair starting with the 2024 Festival. Work would begin late summer 2023. Experience volunteering with the festival is preferred. A commitment of four years is requested – two years as Assistant Chair followed by two years as Chair. This role requires a significant commitment of time throughout the year but varies depending on the time of year. Onsite availability is required the week leading up to the festival as well as the two days of the festival.

Volunteer Coordinator

In this role you will work with the Corn Hill Arts Festival Chair and FMT members in identifying volunteer needs and soliciting and filling volunteer positions.
