Corn Hill Neighbors Association Committees
Committees Are Core To The CHNA's Success
The Corn Hill Neighbors Association is a vibrant organization because of the many volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to making Corn Hill a better neighborhood for all.
Core to the Neighbors Association’s success are the various committees that overseen numerous activities like the annual Corn Hill Arts Festival, the annual Holiday Tour of Homes, ongoing beautification and community clean-up efforts, and Pac-Tac/Neighborhood Watch programs to name just a few.

Simply put, this committee is the reason the Corn Hill Arts Festival is alive and well after forty years. The scope of this two-day festival for 200,000 guests requires hundreds of volunteers. To make it all work, the chairperson of the festival committee leads a management team whose members each lead a committee of their own. Planning for the next festival begins less than a month after a festival closes. Revenues from each year’s festival are used to fund all CHNA committees and projects. If you would like to become part of this exciting group, contact the festival chairperson.

The beauty of Corn Hill is no accident. Members of the beautification committee are involved in every aspect of creating and maintaining Corn Hill’s inviting public spaces. Some of the ongoing projects are planting flowers in our parks, contracting with various landscaping firms, decorating for the holidays, installing Historic Corn Hill banners, the installation and maintenance of brick columns on street corners, working with the city parks department and much, much more. If you know of a potential project for “Beautification” or would like to help out.

Philanthropy is an important part of the Corn Hill Neighbors Association’s mission. Throughout our more than four decades of service to the Corn Hill community, thousands of dollars in grants, scholarships, and emergency relief funding have been given to a wide variety of organizations, individuals, and causes. Although contribution amounts have varied from time to time, the Corn Hill Neighbors Association, through its Philanthropy Committee, has donated more than $80,000 since the year 2000.
In addition to the dedicated efforts of the Philanthropy Committee, other CHNA projects, including food drives and holiday toy collections, have also contributed philanthropic assistance to the residents of Corn Hill as well as to the greater Rochester area.
