Beautification Mulching Party

All hands on deck for a mulching party and community gathering.

The Beautification Committee is seeking volunteers for two Big Mulching Events:

Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 am – 12 noonish, Gazebo

We will be mulching 4 sites:

1. Lunsford Park – we will start here
2. Tubman Circle
3. Livingston Park flower bed
4. 490 Flower Garden

and

Saturday. Oct. 28, 9 am – noonish, starting at the Gazebo

We will walk and drive to Butterfly Way Station on the Genesee River Trailway

on the River and just south of the Frederick Douglass and Lincoln Monument.

Please bring (if possible):

• wheelbarrow
• shovels, gloves, buckets
• family or friends (this is a one-time commitment)

The Beautification Committee will have water, gloves, and some chairs, and if it is cool, coffee. If you have a neighbor that could help or friends and family – this is a one-time commitment and volunteers may work for 30 minutes or 4 hours.

We will work in a light rain if need be. If it is thundering and lightning we will cancel.

Mother nature and the pollinators will thank you too!!!
