Rob Goodling of Adams Street and a dedicated supporter of all things Corn Hill, has a love beyond our neighborhood: music. During a recent concert in the Eastman Theatre’s Kodak Hall, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra saluted Rob for endowing the Principal Tuba Chair, henceforth to be known as the Rob W. Goodling Chair, funded in perpetuity.
The orchestra held a reception prior to its October 19 concert, thanking Rob “for your gift and your constant commitment to music and music education in the Rochester community.” When the gift was announced from the stage just before the concert began, the applause was particularly enthusiastic in one section of the audience where many Corn Hill neighbors had gathered to add their bravos to the cheers of appreciation.
