When 384 Holiday Tour tickets sell out in under 30 minutes, you know your event is popular!  Many thanks to our Committee for making the 35th Corn Hill Holiday Tour of Homes so successful: Chair Joanie Fraver, Joyce Steel, Rob Goodling, Kaeleigh Beebe, Lorraine Myers, Sean Soper, Acacia Semler, Richard Link, Mara Fernandez, Bonny Mayer, and Carolee Conklin.

And special thanks to our homeowners who volunteered their time and beautiful homes to make this event possible: Luke and Kathleen Schoeniger, Andrew and Jen Thistle, Kristin Bell and Alex Cornhill, Olivia Dobbs and Quentin Schneider, Anna Phillips and Galen Snyder, and Tony Giles and Milagros Padilla. We were delighted to have so many new, young neighbors take part in showcasing their homes!

New this year was the involvement of Dr. Alice Holloway Young School #3, which served as a community tour site and included student ambassadors who led tour-goers through the school.  The tour also highlighted one of our more famous Corn Hill residents – Ralph Hillyer Avery. Our tour booklet featured one of Avery’s Corn Hill watercolors; all routes passed through Ralph Avery Mall; and talk given at the refreshment stop at the DAR house on Troup Street emphasized Avery’s time living and working there.

This annual tour of homes not only served as a holiday kick-off event for our many guests, but as a community builder within Corn Hill. Over 75 neighbors volunteered their talents serving as guides, refreshment hosts, docents, greeters, photographers, and office and web support. A special shout-out goes to our tour guides who not only led participants from house to house, but shared local history, architectural detail, personal stories and assistance beyond expectations.

Thank you all!!
