rochester global connections thanksgivingEach year, thousands of students from all over the world travel to Rochester to study and, for some, this is their first time far away from home. International students are eager to meet local Americans and take part in local customs; quite often spending time with our local families is one of the highlights of their time in Rochester.

Rochester Global Connections (RGC) invites you to share in this experience and host an international student for Thanksgiving Dinner this year.

“We felt very fortunate to be part of this tradition with such an amazing family”, Jorge and his family from Guatemala (pictured) told us, after spending last Thanksgiving with one of our wonderful host families.

Thanksgiving hosts have the rewarding experience of meeting people from around the world and introducing their family and friends to people from different cultures. By hosting just one or two students, you can help make a world of a difference.

If you are interested in hosting, please complete the Thanksgiving Host application online.

To arrange for an interview with the Executive Director, a board member or student please call 585-275-8779 or email at [email protected].
