2017 Corn Hill Arts Festival Poster UnveilingThe Corn Hill Neighbors Association and ESL Federal Credit Union held the unveiling of the 2017 commemorative poster for the 49th Annual Corn Hill Arts Festival at the corporate office
of ESL Federal Credit Union, the Festival’s presenting sponsor. Festival Chair Bill Kelly and Faheem Masood, President and CEO of ESL, led the unveiling ceremony.

Each year, an artist is carefully chosen to create a poster that reflects their vision of life in the Corn Hill neighborhood and the spirit of the festival. This year’s poster design was created by Ryan Martin, a 2016 Emerging Artists Expo participant. His painting features a bold, modern and energetic interpretation of the homes in the Corn Hill community.

“I used my rapid and energetic painting style to reflect the vast history and energy of the Corn Hill Arts Festival,” said Martin. “And, I chose a broad color pallet to give a vibrant and unique character to the architecture that is featured.”

Martin graduated from Providence College in 2014. He has since moved back to Rochester and works out of his studio in the Station 55 building, located next to the Rochester Public Market. While he continues to do commissioned paintings, an emerging passion of his is designing and creating handcrafted clothing.
