A Warm Welcome to Rachael Gochenaur – Corn Hill’s New Office Coordinator

Corn Hill’s new office coordinator, Rachael Gochenaur, has been working at our 133 South Fitzhugh St. office location for about 3 months. It has been over two years since that paid position has been filled and we are thrilled to welcome Rachael to our neighborhood and Association.

Rachael is from Hall, New York. She graduated from Marcus Whitman High School in 2012 and from Nazareth College in 2016, where she earned a BA degree in Communication and Media. She has had experience in special event coordination and fundraising, social media marketing, customer service, boutique management, and foodservice. In addition to her duties as Corn Hill office coordinator, she also waitresses at Aladdin’s Restaurant in Pittsford.

Rachael lives in the South Wedge with her boyfriend Reiner, and her cat Ralphie.  Her mom and dad currently live on Keuka Lake and have retired from their jobs as police officer in Hall and school guidance counselor at Marcus Whitman. With the jobs her parents had, there wasn’t much she could get away with growing up in Hall! Rachael also has an older sister, Ashton, who lives in Tennessee.

Rachael was attracted to the posted position because of her familiarity with our festival, her proximity to our neighborhood, and the knowledge that her skills met the needs of our Association – especially her experience in event planning.  She has been impressed with the friendliness of all those who have helped to get her started, and surprised by the level of devoted volunteerism and the time and care residents give to make this such a strong community.  She is very much looking forward to the festival (she can’t believe how big and complex it is), working with the chairs of the Committees, and in touring the neighborhood.  She feels that this position is a nice fit for where she is in life and hopes to contribute positively to our organization.

Rachael’s public office hours are Tuesdays from 9AM – 1PM and Thursdays from 4PM – 8PM.

In addition to her work with us and her job at Aladdin’s, Rachael likes to swim, cook, and read (true-crime) and recently she and Reiner have been hooked on crossword puzzles. Her dream job would be to someday work at a Food Magazine, such as Bon Appetite – in a test kitchen or as a food stylist.

Please extend a warm welcome to Rachael when you meet her. Welcome aboard, Rachael!
