“The CHNA security committee is excited to announce that Corn Hill will be participating in the National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th. This event is in its 32nd year and routinely exceeds 35 million participants across the country. The main goal of National Night Out is to “promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.” Corn Hill has taken part in the celebration in the past and will once again celebrate this exciting and worthy cause this summer.
The two most fundamental components of the evening involve residents spending time outside in their yards and turning on their outside lights in support for neighborhood watch and safety practices. Communities can also choose to show participation in their own ways, and the Corn Hill security committee has concentrated our efforts on a neighborhood gathering to proclaim our solidarity.
All Corn Hill residents are invited to come to Lunsford Circle Park, in the heart of Corn Hill, at 7:30 on August 4th to enjoy a free ice cream social. You can meet or reconnect with your Corn Hill community neighbors while you enjoy a catered treat from Bruster’s famous ice cream. Most of all, we hope you see this as a chance to have a fun night out in Corn Hill with your spouse, significant other, kids, and friends. We hope to see you on August 4th, and we thank you for your diligent efforts to keep Corn Hill a safe community!”
