Most of us with a Corn Hill address were drawn to this neighborhood because of its proximity to center city, the history of the region or the beautiful old architecture. But I would bet that many of us were also attracted by the unique sense of community in Corn Hill that comes from participation in our Neighborhood Association and the many volunteer opportunities that occur throughout the year.
With the arrival of spring, those volunteer opportunities abound – from joining a committee to a one-day commitment. We encourage all of you – veteran neighbors as well as new – to take a moment to consider becoming involved in the Corn Hill community. Here are some of many opportunities to choose from:
Volunteer for the Arts Festival. We need street managers, workers for the merchandise and neighborhood booths, volunteers for assistance with set-up, signage, take down and storage. Be a greeter! Submit your name and contact information to [email protected].
Volunteer for Adopt-A-Pot. Adopt a flower pot on a prominent street corner and care for it throughout spring and summer. More information is on the Corn Hill website. Submit your name and contact information to [email protected].
Volunteer to work on the Holiday House Tour Committee. Planning is starting already. Join our first meeting on April 30th to begin planning. Submit your name and contact information to [email protected].
Volunteer for the Beautification Committee. Join an already existing group of very dedicated members who work to enhance our parks and green spaces. Join the planning Committee or just come out on a Saturday morning to volunteer for a clean-up day. Check the Gazette for work and meeting dates and submit your name and contact information to [email protected].
