The association has established a fund to assist Corn Hill residents 62 and over deal with emergency situations such as: interruption of telephone services, lodging for a night due to fire, small household repairs like broken windows, snow removal, locksmith repairs, transportation (Lift Line, Cabs, etc.) and emergency medical needs like prescriptions or office appointments, etc.
Assistance is provided in the form of one-time grants valued at up to $200.00. Grants do not have to be repaid and are available until the fund is depleted. An emergency grant may be requested by calling the CHNA office at 262-3142. Provide your name, address, telephone number, date and time you called and, especially, the nature of your emergency. If you have to leave a message, someone from the Philanthropy Committee will return your call.
